What is this beast?
Bloodclaat, your engine is dying of thirst! The stock Gen1 fuel pump is a complete joke the moment you try to make real power. The TU HPFP Retrofit is the ultimate OEM hack. We take the High Pressure Fuel Pump from the newer Supra/M340i, slap a plug-and-play wiring harness on it, and bolt it directly onto your Gen1 engine. Boom! You just got 30% more fuel capacity using genuine BMW parts. Now you can finally pour some corn juice (E30) in the tank, crank up the boost, and feel what this engine was actually meant to do.
Why the stock part is absolute pain
The absolute worst pain of the Gen1 platform is fuel starvation. You flash a Stage 2 tune, hit the gas, and the engine suddenly misfires and stutters because the stock pump completely crashes under pressure. The TU pump retrofit permanently fixes this. It gives you the headroom to safely run ethanol blends without leaning out the engine and melting your pistons. It’s cheap, it’s 100% reliable since it's an OEM part, and it unlocks the true potential of the stock turbo.
