What is this beast?

While the Gen2 plastic pipe is slightly stronger than Gen1, it is still plastic holding back 20+ PSI of boiling hot boost. Why the stock part is absolute pain
Heat cycling is the enemy of plastic. Over time, the extreme heat of the engine bay makes the factory plastic brittle. When you flash a Stage 2 tune and feed the engine the beans, that plastic is basically a ticking time bomb. Upgrading to the FTP aluminum pipe is cheap insurance against catastrophic failure.
