Engine Architecture
Factory BMW B58 Block and Internals. At this power level, the stock connecting rods are under immense stress. Tuning must be mathematically perfect to avoid bending a rod. Torque is intentionally ramped in slowly at lower RPMs to keep the motor alive.
Turbo & Aspiration
Pure Turbos Pure800 Cast Turbo. A direct drop-in replacement that uses a much larger compressor wheel and custom cast exhaust housing. It spools slightly slower than stock but flows enough air to hit the 800whp mark on ethanol.
Transmission & Drivetrain
Factory ZF 8HP51 with xHP Flashtool Stage 3. The transmission is operating at its maximum thermal and mechanical limit. Line pressure is maximized to prevent clutch slip, but life expectancy is significantly reduced.
Fueling & Engine Management
Dorch Stage 2 HPFP handling the direct injection, supplemented by a Motiv Reflex controller managing a Port Injection kit (usually 750cc or 950cc injectors) mounted on an aftermarket intake manifold spacer.
